The style and design of La Dolce Vita Designer Wear references the newest trends without slavishly following the fashion, making it a winner for women and men who want to stand out from the crowd. La Dolce Vita Designer Wear was founded by André Lambrechts and Dieter Odendaal in the summer of 2006. This young and vibrant partnership is at the forefront of original Cape design, and nurturing an exciting and growing fashion industry here in the heart of the Boland.
La Dolce Vita is indeed an exciting new concept in fashion shopping – a unique unisex fashion experience set in an intimate and charming environment with personal attention to clients and their fashion needs.
The mother company, La Dolce Vita Designer Wear is currently supplying selected boutiques across the Western Cape and says Dieter: “We are planning to go nationally with our summer collection which should be in store by September”.
Currently the winter range is in store and offers wide selections of winter coats for men and ladies, bell jackets, ladies tailored trousers, Chiffon blouses, wrap jerseys, ladies winter shorts, men’s casual jackets and tailored trousers, collar shirts for men and much, much more.
When you enter a La Dolce Vita boutique, it’s like entering the proverbial sweets shop. In English, La Dolce Vita translates as The Sweet Life and the new clothing brand, aptly named Sweet, ties in nicely with the surroundings and the style icon created by Fellini’s films in the 1960s. The Sweet range can best be described as a classic yet trendy style, combining the flair of 1960’s Italian style with the colours and vibrancy of Africa, thereby creating an independent and distinctive fashion style and brand. The boys behind La Dolce Vita are exceedingly proud of having now designed and developed their own designer collection.
It is, however, not only their own brand Sweet that catches the attention in their boutiques, but also the range of carefully selected brands that compliment their own designs such as Guess, Carducci and the Errol Arendz Footwear Collection, Du Sud. Their boutiques seem to have the right recipe; it nails everything from basics to denim to the edgiest must-haves. The La Dolce Vita boutiques indeed offer a sanctuary of style with exclusive garments at affordable prices.
However, the best news must be that La Dolce Vita only stocks eight garments per style. All garments from the Sweet collection are manufactured of the best imported quality fabrics and made to suit South African sizes.
La Dolce Vita is situated at 32 Mitchell Street (opposite Tourist Information Centre) in Hermanus.  La Dolce Vita Designer Wear also supplies their Sweet Collection to a number of selected boutiques in Hermanus, Bredasdorp, Mossel Bay, George, Knysna and Plettenberg Bay.
